Tito,

I wouldn''t put too much faith in lab results for speakers. An oscilloscope may acurately measure sound waves but it doesn''t know music from noise. Some of the very highest end speakers have mediocre lab tests, but sound wonderful to the human ear. Although lab tests can provide frequency response and sensitivity type information, they don''t tell the whole story.........

Rich is absolutely correct. Lab measurements are a good way to gain an understanding of how the speaker performs very basic commands such as frequncy response and sensitivity. The final say on how well the speaker performs is left to your own ears and preferences.

The Sound and Vision issue that explains the behind the numbers for speaker lab tests appeared in September 2001.
The article begins on page 101.
By the way.....those are what my B&W speakers look like to the left, on page 100.'/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif'
This also happens to be the same issue that reviews the CM family series speakers from Bowers and Wilkins.
