Speaker wire, what gauge? I am setting up a home theater system with 5 speakers and a sub. Will the heavy gauge wire improve the sound. Thank you in advance.

What kind of speakers? I would keep larger than 16AWG gauge.

It will depend on how long your wire runs are going to be. For longer runs lower gauge(thicker) wires will work well.
