<div>Wife picked this up for me yesterday for a decent price, and I had a chance to play around with it last night. I don''t care for the way it looks sitting on top of the 360, but I guess you could move it. It runs the opposite way of the 360, and IMHO, looks out of place.</div><BR><div> </div><BR><div>Picture quality, looks very good, but I would have been disappointed if I had spent $400-$500, on a stand alone player. It looks better than the upconverting player, just not leaps and bounds better. I''ve got a few HD movies on the netflix que, so I''m reserving final judgement until I watch a few more movies.</div><BR><div> </div><BR><div>Sound, is what is really bothering me. I think Akula mentioned something about people complaining about the dynamic range souning limited. At times, I would agree with this. King Kong came with the player, and during the diansaur stampede, it didn''t sound like there was any dynamic range. I tried switching back and forth between the sd version that I own and the hd version, and I did seem that there was a difference in sound. Bass and surrounds did not seem limited during the loud scenes, it was like the front soundstage collapsed. Hopefully, MS will have a fix for this.</div><BR><div> </div><BR><div>I''m not ready to return the unit yet, but I had expected more out of the box. Will have to give it more time to decide.</div><BR><div>Rob</div><BR>
