The last time I checked into wireless headphones, the products offered were only acceptable in quality to me... The RF kind of headphones are a bit more flexible in terms of distance and losing line of sight with the head unit, but at the same time, they didn''t seem that clear sounding to me. Plus I had heard of all sorts of interference problems also causing sound distortions. But then again, back then most of the RF headphones were around the 900 MHz range I believe, and I suspect that now days there are headphones that are up in the gigahertz ranges. <Essentially, the RF models are like cordless telephones.><p>The IR models of headphones seem to be less susceptible to interference, but are limited to line of sight <to the base unit> and shorter distances.<p>All in all, neither type sounded that good to me, but perhaps things are different now...
