For me, I have my PS2 and X-Box hooked-up through my HT system. So specifically, I''m going through a Krell HTS 7.1 pre/pro to a Sony 36XBR250 TV. PS2 games in DPL II have been great, and Halo for the X-Box is in 5.1 DD, and that is incredible...

yeah i have to agree halo in 5.1 is incredable, i have my xbox hooked to my pioneer elite 710 64" television, using a high def pack so its recieveing a progressive signal with a denon 5800 reciever, and 4 dcm time frame towers, with a velodyne 18", i love playing max payne on this system, the progressive picture and bass from the gun shots are unreal....

So Halo has in-game 5.1, huh? I bet that is fantastic. I can''t wait to get the PC version that is supposed to come out later this year.
Do you know what other games are available using that feature?
On on the borderline of making my next AV purchase... X-box, or new fronts smile.gif border=0

i think almost all of the xbox games come in 5.1 i haven''t ran into any that doesn''t play in dolby digital, i think this was one of the requirements when games are to be made for the x box, fyi i hear that sega will be making there first high def game this summer, its a racing game i don''t remember the name, i can''t wait to play a game in 1080i that will be a site to see and feel in 5.1...the xbox is awesome...

i have my gamecube hooked up to my Sony 40XBR700 (via a bettercables silver serpant component video cable) and my Denon AVR 4802 with Definitive Technology BP2002TL mains, C/L/R 2500 center, BP2X surrounds (3 of them). rogue leader sounds awesome in dolby pro-logic II, and both it and wave race look incredible in progressive scan.
we live in exciting times indeed for videogaming!
< February 05, 2002: Message edited by: sauget.diblosio >

Also, if you play DVDs with DTS sound, the PS 2 will pass that signal along and give you that sound just like any other DVD player.

After reading the posts, I decided to hook the XBox up to the Pioneer Pro1000 Plasma. Don''t have the 7.1 hooked up yet, but the picture is incredible. Thanks for the idea. Sal

I have my PS2 and Gamecube both hooked up to my Onkyo TX-DS898 through Component cables.. so I get progressive scan through my Sony 36" XBR450.. my dvd is hooked up with Components to the other Component input on the TV. The PS2 of course also has the Optical cable hooked up. Whereas the Gamecube is normal stereo.. thankgod for ProLogic II.
