I posted here awhile back about a house I was buying with an unfinished basement and I was given lots of help...thankyou all!!<BR>BUT that deal fell through and we bought a different house and the basement is finished/idealbb/images/smilies/7.gif 10.5ft wide by 23ft long I dont have the hieght right now but with the length and width what do you think? I am not looking for room nodes or anything like that just opinions I personally would have liked it 15 wide but hey!(too long too narrow?)<BR>thnx

<DIV>It depends on what you're doing. It would probably be best to set the video on the long wall, but that will severely limit the size of the screen, and the seating.</DIV><BR>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><BR>
<DIV>Putting the video at the end allows for a larger screen and more seats, but it will be harder to get the soundstage right. </DIV><BR>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><BR>
<DIV>Is there any way to get more width? What kind of video and seating are you expecting?</DIV><BR>

I have a 51 inch sony rptv with paradigm monitor 9,s and a cc370 center.<BR>I do also plan on ALOT of acoustic treatments as my speakers will have to be rather close to the side walls<BR>

<DIV>How many people do you want to accomodate? In my house, one couch is plenty, so I nearly always place my TV on the long walls and get the best sound out of the room. However, if you need more than one couch in the "sweet spot" then you are forced to go with the short wall for the TV. </DIV><BR>
