    Lookin' Good Mud!

Can you spread them out some and toe them in? I think you might get a bigger soundstage.

Isn't it nice having a dedicated 2 channel set up! Have you put a lock on the door to the den yet? I can see it now, you go into the den with your favorite "tasty beverage" and your favorite piece of music and lock the door and just get taken away to a place where all is good. A place where all the bills are paid and there are no worries in the world. A place where "Mudshark" is King and the music is..........Beautiful!!!

Congrats to you Mr. Mud! You are well on your way to Audio Nirvana!

I second Dennie's suggestion, increase the distance between to two speakers until there exists an equilateral triangle to that of the listening position, then start tweaking the toe-in.

I think I can improve the positioning. I will need to switch walls with the bookshelves and filing cabinet first. I have to decide whether to optimize for sitting at the desk by the computer or the recliner when reading. I am thinking using the recliner as the sweet spot.

Thanks Denny, Rope, Barney, and Gold Teeth for your kind comments.

BTW, thanks to I.G. for the settings guidance. No hiss when utilizing the center position either.

Excellent choice. The recliner position gives your full attention to what ever you're listening to, no distractions, just pure listening pleasure.

Here's a second vote for the recliner as sweet spot.

Yeah, he didn't even mention a "Tasty Beverage" did he?!?!?!

Okay Mud, you are going to need to take a course in "2 Channel Listening". Most importantly, it DOES NOT involve a BOOK! The Recliner is a good thing though.

It should involve a audio system for playback. A piece of music. A chair for your butt. I light switch.(preferably a remote controlled switch. Lutron makes the one I use) And clothing are optional, right IG? (wink wink)

Now there are other options like.......Mrs. Mud, a tasty beverage, mans best friend, adult "party" errr, ahhhh.......things and that's about it!

I have logged quite a few hours like this over the last year and a half and there's nothing like it. I have to tell you, when I put on Roberta Flacks "First Take" album/record/vinyl ( it is also on CD and I have that too) and she sings "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", she is singing right to me and me alone and it is a moving experience. "Trying Times" is the next song and it fits today, just as well as it did when it was written and when she sings it, I really believe her.

Now, it can be any artist that you choose, but if you're going to be reading a book while you are listening, I have a couple of old Bose speakers I am going to send you and I will take the Mackies! LOL

    Book! Haaaaah!
