    Smile Dane's next portable amp

Please help me decide on the color combination.

I've been wanting to try a Ray Samuels amp ever since the Hornet was released. Ray's latest amp is the P-51 Mustang.

My Yo Tank case for my iPod is Black and I like the look of all Black as I now have with my Pico and XM5 portable amps but I want a change from that for my new amp.

My favorite color is dark purple and Ray offers a Wine color which seems pretty close based on his website photo. I also like a Red/Black combo as well as a Blue/Grey combo...as follows:

Wine ( my variation would be a Gold colored volume knob)

    Red/Black

    Blue/Grey

    Black

    Here are other colors:

As a plug for a sale I have at Head-Fi, here are links were I have DVD, DVD-A & SACD discs for sale...trying to raise funds for this amp purchase. This amp will be my Birthday present to myself...May 29! 42 years old.

Wow, designer colors! Those look awesome. I love the wine color - but I'm partial to that color in my own stuff, and I like wine too... How 'bout a red knob to match the red power led?

Hey, I never thought of that. I like the look of the lighted power toggle. I'm not a fan of wine....currently killing a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada Summerfest 2009 Lager...oh so smooth!

I've thought about buying more than 1 case but I'm guessing that Ray would charge more than I'd like to pay.

    I'm slowly making my decision...

I like the red. If it were me I'd probably stick to a safe color like black or grey.

Well, I just bought a used Black P-51 which was my original plan. I was just waiting to see if anyone responded to my WTB request which I doubted. My final choice for a multi-colored P-51 was shown by a couple Head-Fi members but it would have cost MUCH more than what I paid for the used...which looks new.

    Here's that top color choice:

    Here's a picture of the P-51 that I bought:

Well, there's always spray paint, right? Or maybe one of those cool glitter pens that my daughter uses? That crap sticks to *anything*...
