    Default Monster cable mourning......

........the death of Circuit City. They are lowering prices to increase market share. Lowering an HDMI cable from $125, all the way down to the unbelievable price of $99! Huge drop in price, huh? LOL

Lowering prices and increasing performance in the same breath! Does that mean Noel has been lying about the performance and over charging people up until now?

I actually lucked out with Monster products when CC went belly up. I have managed to get two AVS2000SS that retail still in stores for 1,899.00 for 299.00 each. Two Ultra 700 component cables for 10.00/ea (one 25 footer and one 12 footer) cheaper than Monoprice and five pair of Monster THX Ultra 1000 speaker wire with attached banana plugs for 10.00/pair (or 20 feet of 12 gauge wire 50 cents a foot (Home Depot wanted 1.70 foot for plain 12 gauge wire and mine came with the thick shielding, and gold plated plugs. I figure 10 bucks for a pair or 5.00 each (they normally retail for 129.00 a pair. It's worth it.

Yeah it's Monster brand, but what the heck, it was cheaper than Home Depot and has a lifetime warranty and they look snazzy. So although I hate Monster for their business parctices, i can also spot a great deal when I see one. And yes when IG came to my house, he teased me about them.

I think because of their business practices, I would not give them a dime for their merchandise. Nothing against you Matt or anyone else, but even if I could score a deal on some of their stuff (like with the CC liquidation), I still feel like I would be contributing to their bullying tactics.

    Monster sucks.

    Here, here!!!

I am not only opposed to how Monster Cable bullies other companies, I consider them criminal snake oil huksters who should be prosecuted.

    You got it...

Thank goodness I got into this insanity far back enough to know better, also being to cheap to spend that kind of money helped.

You couldn't give me monster $hit, not unless you wanted to watch me toss it..like yesfan/IG, I not a fan.
