You'll notice that things are beginning to look a bit different around here. We've finally managed to get a little development time to work on updating the forum software and hope that we'll have everything in place soon. It's not perfect, and excuse the long silence, but we hope we're off to a good start.
For the time being, we've archived all of the old forums and threads, and invite everyone to begin using the new forums. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions/complaints/whatever else.
I like the new look.

Thanks for the update
Would love to see a little more activity here.

We're still working on doing a little cleanup — but hopefully we'll be able to get a little discussion going on over here again. In the meantime, feel free to begin threads...we're doing our best at long last to clear some space for you guys to discuss things again.
Howdy mberk,
I see that almost everything is archived. I don't remember the last time that this community had any Admin that would take care of issues. Do not ask what those issues were. Read about it in the archived files. You have alot of catching up. Just about everyone here has gone elsewhere...along with all the support from soundandvision. Just remember, you archived alot of very great info.
Please remove me from being a Moderator. My PM's are full of XXX stuff. Thanks for all the support that S&V has given this place (no support that is). I bet you are just part-time............just like every Admin we have had for decades....
Have a nice day.....by the way, are you an employee of S&V and do you live in NY ?
Sorry if this post seems to have some "anger" in it but I am angry with all the lack of support given to this "once thriving community".

I tried to reply but the software lost it.
Typical.
Here is a link to the final round of appeals for help.
All ignored.

@Barney — I have taken a look through the archived threads, and I'm well aware that the state of the forums had gotten pretty dire. I do have to point out a few things right now:
a) There's no possible way that I can deal with any of the personal issues you might have had with past admins, but I'll do what I can to take care of things that crop up from here on out.
b) There's not going to be a full-time person devoted to forum moderation, we just don't have the staff or the resources. It's a small subsection of a small site that's part of big organization — I'm sure a lot of you can relate.
c) We do still have a bit of dev time coming up devoted to cleaning up forum issues and making things a bit better integrated with the rest of the site, so we are making an effort to get things a bit more functional — but there is certainly the possibility that things won't work here and there.
That's the situation. If you guys want to work within that, that's great. If not, I understand.
what happened to all the old threads? they're all wiped out?![]()
