Tho it is written for the Outlaw 990 all the settings described for the Oppo will apply with your Rotel.

I read the info at the link and it confirms the article's intent. I went back and checked the Speaker configuration on the Oppo and was able to change the speaker distance setting to '0'. Don't know what I was looking at the other day when it only went down to 6'.
