Kate Bush's "Aerial" is one of the most impressive sounding CDs I have ever heard.

Default The Best Sounding Disc

I'd like to see everyone's suggestion for the best sounding disc in your library.

Based on sound quality alone, what single, commercially available disc (CD, SACD, HDCD or DVD-A) is, in your opinion, the epitome of amazing sound quality? Please be fair - even if you don't particularly like that genre - yet can't help but admit it sounds fabulous, what would it be?

I'm torn between Sting's "Brand New Day" on DVD-A or Elton Johns "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on SACD.

I'm a Kate Bush fan, but don't believe I have "Aerial", thanks for the tip! :thu:

The best sounding disk? Egad, I couldn't list only five favorite disks in that other thread, I'll fail here too.

Far too many to narrow it down strictly to only one, but
Blues At Sunrise is definitely at the top of the list.
It demonstrates Stevie Ray's awesome talent . . .

Hmm... been thinking about trying some SRV, think I'll start with this one. Thanks, Topper!

Pauly,
"The sky is Crying" is a good one from him.... I just can't recall the recording quality of it.
