Good day Mr. Topper. Have you never heard of Google? Seriously, I would prefer if people are interested they should listen to samples rather than read my description. What I hear from music may be different than what others hear. Sometimes what I hear may be different than what I have heard previously from the same album. I also do not like to put categories on music. What I consider country, others may call pop. The reason I prefer not to write these is my description may cause people to dismiss the music without ever hearing it, which is why I sometimes provide a link (for those that have never heard of Google). I understand that the opposite may occur and some will not seek out the music if they do not have a description, but that is their loss. I have listened to music from every artist listed in this thread, (irregardless of the description) and I guess I assume others will do the same. I also do not like to type. But since you asked. I would consider Mountain Home to be extremely laid back folk. In fact, the name Mountain Home is descriptive of the music. The singer is Marissa Nadler. She has what I would call a soft, gentle, and soothing voice. Sometimes when I am listening to Mountain Home, I feel as if I am sitting on a large rock slightly covered with moss alongside a mountain stream on a warm, sunny summer day with a gentle breeze blowing on my face. Best of all, I have no worries.

GoatHerder, I am aware of and understand everything you said in your response. And, yes, I'm fully aware of Google and use it often (along with Amazon's music catalogs/listings and 'samples') Actually, merely asking for the artist would have been completely sufficient. I only threw the other in for good measure, in case you felt like offering. Sooo, under the 'circumstances' (ref. response above), I thank you very much for the information, and time and trouble. I appreciate it. Will take your posts in this thread 'as is' in the future, and won't bug you with questions. ![]() ![]() Message Edited by topper on 03-24-2008 04:51 AM |

Dude, if you can provide descriptions like that of your music, I don't need Google! That makes me want to buy that CD today. John |
